Building New Greenhouses Along Bogie Lake Road

16322We’re upgrading! As you may have noticed, we are rebuilding the greenhouses along Bogie Lake Road. The old greenhouses have served us well these past 30 years, but we decided it was time to update and rebuild.

The old houses are full of history. Purchased used in the 1940s by the previous owners, the greenhouses were home to cement benches and glass ceilings ideal for many plants to grow. These greenhouses have sheltered begonias, coleus, succulents, vines, dahlias, house plants, and terrarium plants but have recently started to leak in the rain and look their age.

The newer, updated greenhouses will provide much better ventilation and light, with automatic vents that will open when the weather gets warm. We plan to continue using the cement benches and will grow various annuals in the new houses.
We cannot wait to finish it and hope you enjoy watching the progress!
